BioRePeel
BioRePeel in Nashville & Mount Juliet
A next-generation TCA-based peel that resurfaces, stimulates collagen, and brightens — without flaking, without downtime, and safe for all skin types.
What it is
The peel that doesn't peel.
BioRePeel is a two-phase, bio-stimulating peel formulated with TCA, salicylic acid, lactobionic acid, and a proprietary blend of amino acids and vitamins. Unlike traditional peels, its oil-based outer phase seals in the actives so they work at the right depth — you get the resurfacing without visible flaking or social downtime.
It's one of the few peels genuinely safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types (I–VI), including deeper skin tones that other chemical peels can't safely treat.
How it works
Why a 'superficial' peel does so much.
The word "superficial" is a little misleading. It refers to the depth of exfoliation — the outermost layer of the epidermis — not the depth of the biological signal the peel sends. BioRePeel exfoliates superficially but stimulates deeply, and that's where the results come from.
The two-phase, oil-sealed delivery system holds the TCA, salicylic acid, and lactobionic acid on the skin at a controlled, precise depth long enough to trigger a full wound-healing cascade in the papillary dermis — without the frosting, flaking, and downtime of an old-school medium-depth TCA peel. That cascade is what actually rebuilds skin: fibroblast activation, new collagen (Types I and III), new elastin, and remodeled ground substance over the following 4–6 weeks.
At the same time, the amino acids, GABA, vitamin C, and co-factors in the second phase are pushed into the freshly permeable skin, feeding the fibroblasts the raw materials they need to build — not just signal. Most peels only do the first half of that equation.
Add a series (4–6 treatments, 1–2 weeks apart) and you're compounding that remodeling cycle over and over on skin that never had to shed visibly to get there. That's why patients see genuine change in tone, texture, fine lines, and clarity from something that looks, on the surface, like it "only" gave them a glow.
Who it's for
Where BioRePeel shines.
- Dull, uneven tone that needs a real reset
- Melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (safe on deeper skin)
- Fine lines, early aging, and loss of glow
- Active acne and post-acne texture
- Anyone who wants "just had a facial" glow before an event — no downtime
Who it's not for
When Mercedes will say no.
Mercedes's list of "no's" for BioRePeel is shorter and more evidence-based than most. The one genuine, well-documented reason to pause is an active cold sore (HSV) outbreak in or near the treatment area — chemical peels are a known trigger for HSV reactivation, so we wait until it's fully resolved. The same goes for any open skin infection or unhealed wound where you'd be treating, or a true active severe flare of rosacea or eczema where the skin barrier is already compromised.
A few things you may have been told are hard "no's" that actually aren't:
- Recent Accutane (isotretinoin) — the ASDS Task Force, the 2017 JAMA Dermatology systematic review, and the AAD 2024 guidelines all agree there is insufficient evidence to delay superficial chemical peels for patients on or recently completing isotretinoin. BioRePeel is a buffered superficial TCA peel and falls squarely in the safe category.
- Keloid-prone skin (on the face) — BioRePeel is a superficial peel; it doesn't reach the deep dermal layer where keloid-forming collagen deposition happens. Keloids form in response to deep injury, not superficial epidermal exfoliation. The theoretical concern applies to deep peels, not this one.
- Pregnancy & breastfeeding — this one is more nuanced. TCA has negligible systemic absorption (known since 1987), and there are no documented cases of fetal harm from superficial TCA peels. The standard "avoid" recommendation is precautionary — based on the general principle of skipping elective cosmetic procedures in pregnancy, not on documented harm. Mercedes will have an honest, individualized conversation with you and typically defers elective peels until postpartum for that reason.
What to expect
Your appointment, start to finish.
The peel is applied and massaged into cleansed skin for 5–8 minutes. You'll feel warmth and a mild tingle — never burning. It's left on for 7–10 minutes, then wiped off. Total appointment: about 30 minutes.
You leave with a subtle glow, no redness beyond a mild flush that fades within the hour. Makeup can go back on the same day. Results build over a series of 4–6 treatments, spaced 1–2 weeks apart.
Investment
Pricing, no surprises.
- Single BioRePeel — $250
- Package of 6 — $1,250 (save $250)
Series pricing is discussed at consultation. Most patients see best results with a series of 4–6, then maintenance every 4–6 weeks.
Aftercare
The 24 hours after.
- SPF 30+ daily and no direct sun exposure for 48 hours
- Skip retinoids, acids, and physical exfoliants for 3–5 days
- Gentle cleanser and rich moisturizer for the first two nights
- No sauna, hot yoga, or vigorous sweat for 24 hours
