IPL Photofacial · Coming August 1
IPL Photofacial in Nashville & Mount Juliet
Broad-spectrum light therapy for sun damage, brown spots, and diffuse redness — with honest recommendations on whether IPL or a different treatment will actually serve your skin.
What it is
IPL, in plain language.
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses a broad spectrum of light to target pigment and shallow blood vessels in the skin. Brown spots lift and flake off over 1–2 weeks; diffuse redness and broken capillaries fade as vessels are absorbed by the body.
It's one of the fastest treatments for the "years of Tennessee sun" look — that mottled brown-spot pattern across cheeks, chest, and hands. Most patients see visible clearing after a single session, with a full series producing dramatic improvement.
Who it's for
Where IPL shines.
- Sun damage: brown spots, freckles, sun-induced pigment on face, chest, hands
- Rosacea and diffuse facial redness
- Broken capillaries around the nose and cheeks
- Overall dull, uneven tone from years of cumulative sun exposure
Who it's not for
When Mercedes will say no.
IPL is not safe on tanned skin, deeper skin tones (Fitzpatrick V–VI), or over melasma — it can actually make melasma worse. It's paused during pregnancy, on active infection or cold sores, on recent Accutane, or on photosensitizing medications.
If your pigment is melasma or hormonally driven, Mercedes will recommend BioRePeel, targeted skincare, or a different plan instead — the fastest way to make melasma worse is aggressive light-based treatment.
What to expect
Your appointment, start to finish.
Skin is cleansed and a cool gel applied. Protective eyewear is worn. Each pulse feels like a brief rubber-band snap; most patients tolerate it well without numbing. A full face takes about 30 minutes.
Brown spots darken to a coffee-ground appearance for 5–10 days before flaking off — this is a good sign. Redness improvement is more gradual, built over a series of 3–5 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart.
Investment
Pricing.
Pricing reflects RN-led treatment with medical-grade equipment, individualized settings, and the honest consultation that comes before every appointment. We don't discount, and we don't sell packages — because your ideal series length depends entirely on what we're treating. You'll never be sold more sessions than you actually need.
| Treatment area | Per session |
|---|---|
| Face | $425 |
| Face + Neck | $525 |
| Face + Neck + Décolleté | $675 |
| Chest only | $375 |
| Hands (both) | $275 |
| Spot treatment | $150 |
How many treatments will I need?

| Sun damage / brown spots / photorejuvenation | 3–5 sessions | 3–4 weeks apart |
| Active acne | 6–8 sessions | 2 weeks apart |
