Botox

    Botox in Mount Juliet, Tennessee

Natural-looking Botox starts with knowing what to treat, how much to treat, and when not to treat at all.

Full Spectrum Aesthetics & Wellness offers individualized Botox treatments in Mount Juliet with Mercedes Hester, RN, an experienced aesthetic injector and former national aesthetics trainer.

    The Goal

Botox Should Still Look Like You

At Full Spectrum, Botox isn't about chasing every line or eliminating every bit of movement.

Your treatment is based on your anatomy, facial movement, goals, and the way the different muscles of your face work together.

Sometimes that means treating less. Sometimes it means treating something different than what you originally came in asking for. And sometimes the right recommendation is not to treat at all. That restraint is the heart of how we practice.

The goal is simple: you should still look like you.

    Mercedes Hester, RN

Mercedes Hester is a Registered Nurse with approximately 15 years of clinical nursing experience and advanced experience in aesthetic medicine.

Prior to opening Full Spectrum Aesthetics & Wellness, she served as a national trainer and Director of Training for a large medical spa, educating aesthetic providers in injection technique, patient safety, treatment planning, and clinical excellence.

    Her nursing board certifications include:

    • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
    • Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN)
    • Ambulatory Care Nursing Board Certification (AMB-BC)

Her approach to aesthetics is intentionally conservative and education-focused. Patients should understand what they're treating, why they're treating it, what the realistic outcome is, and when another treatment may be more appropriate — which is also what shapes the experience of being a patient here.

    What it treats

    What Can Botox Treat?

Botox is a purified neuromodulator that temporarily reduces activity in the specific muscles it's placed into. When those muscles relax, the lines they create with movement soften — and in some cases the balance of the surrounding features shifts as well.

Areas commonly treated at Full Spectrum include:

    • Forehead lines
    • Frown lines between the brows (the "11s")
    • Crow's feet
    • Brow balancing and a subtle brow lift
    • Lip flip
    • Jawline slimming
    • Masseter treatment for appropriate patients with jaw clenching or prominent masseter muscles
    • Nasal refinement — softening a downward-pulling or flaring nasal tip for a slimmer, lifted appearance in appropriate candidates
    • Platysma bands — the vertical neck cords that become more visible with age and movement
    • Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) of the underarms, palms or scalp

Which areas are treated, and at what dose, is decided individually after an in-person assessment of your anatomy and movement — not from a standard template.

    Neck & jawline

    Why Platysma Treatment Matters

The platysma is a broad, thin sheet of muscle that runs from the chest and shoulders up over the jawline and into the lower face. When it tightens or thickens over time, it pulls downward — creating visible neck cords, blurring the jawline, and contributing to a heavier lower face.

Because of that downward pull, treating the face alone sometimes isn't enough. Relaxing the platysma can soften those cords and support a cleaner jawline definition, and it's often the piece that's missing when someone feels their lower face looks tired despite good results elsewhere.

It is also a treatment that demands precise anatomical knowledge. The neck sits near muscles involved in swallowing and head movement, so dosing and placement have to be conservative and deliberate. This is assessed carefully, and it isn't appropriate for everyone — skin laxity, for example, doesn't respond to a neuromodulator.

We use NavaClick — NavaClick Professional Education provider badge

    Comfort by design

One of three practices in Tennessee using NavaClick for Botox.

Most injectors still use a standard syringe, where dose and speed depend entirely on thumb pressure. The NavaClick system replaces that with a click-controlled mechanism: each click releases a precise, measured amount through an ultra-fine needle at a slow, even rate. Less pressure into the tissue means less sting, less swelling, and less bruising — with dosing accuracy that doesn't drift over a long treatment.

Per NavaClick's own provider directory, Full Spectrum is one of only three practices in the state of Tennessee — and one of two in Middle Tennessee — trained and using the system.

    • 91%

reported no bruising or less bruising

    • 84%

      experienced less pain

    • 75%

likely to recommend to a friend

    Honest recommendations

    Sometimes Botox Isn't the Answer

One of the most important parts of an aesthetic consultation is figuring out whether the treatment you're asking for will actually address what bothers you.

Not every line is caused primarily by muscle movement. Botox doesn't replace lost facial volume, improve every type of skin texture, or correct every sign of aging.

If Botox isn't the right tool for what you're seeing, Mercedes will tell you.

In that case she'll point you toward what would work better, whether that's another treatment on the aesthetics menu or simply waiting.

    Investment

    Botox Pricing in Mount Juliet

    • Per unit — $13
    • Minimum treatment — $130
    • Full vial (100 units at $10/unit) — $1,000

Your recommended number of units depends on your anatomy, muscle strength, treatment areas, previous treatment history, and desired outcome.

You will know the treatment recommendation before proceeding.

No consultation fees, and no pressure to hit a package minimum. If Botox is part of your routine, membership pricing may be a better fit.

    First visit

    Never Had Botox Before?

You do not need to know how many units you need or exactly what should be treated before you come in.

    That's our job.

Your appointment begins with an assessment of your facial movement, anatomy, goals, and concerns. Mercedes will explain what she sees, what Botox can realistically accomplish, and what she recommends before treatment.

If you're nervous, have questions, or simply don't know where to start, that's completely appropriate for a consultation.

    Aftercare

    What Aftercare Actually Requires

You've probably been told not to lie down for four hours, skip the gym for a day, and never touch your face. Those restrictions aren't supported by controlled studies. Botox binds to nerve endings within minutes — by the time you leave, the majority is already locked in place. Results take days to appear because the nerve-signal blockade develops after binding, not because the product is still moving.

    What Mercedes does recommend:

    • Skip alcohol the day of treatment to reduce bruising risk
    • Hold off on facials, microneedling, and lasers for a few days
    • Otherwise go about your normal life — work out, lie down, wash your face

Evidence-based medicine over tradition. As new research emerges, this guidance will be updated.

    Questions

    Botox FAQs

How much does Botox cost in Mount Juliet?

Botox at Full Spectrum is $13 per unit, with a $130 minimum treatment. A full vial (100 units) is $1,000, which works out to $10 per unit. There are no consultation fees and no package minimums.

How many units of Botox will I need?

That's determined individually. Muscle strength, anatomy, the areas being treated, your treatment history, and the result you're after all change the number. Mercedes will walk you through her recommendation — and the cost — before anything is injected.

    How long does Botox last?

For most patients, results last roughly three to four months, though this varies with dose, treatment area, metabolism, and how frequently you've been treated in the past. Some people notice a longer duration after several consistent treatment cycles.

When will I see my Botox results?

Softening usually begins around day three or four. Final results are assessed at day 14, and some patients see subtle continued change out to about day 21. Results are never judged before the two-week mark.

Will Botox make me look frozen?

A frozen look generally comes from dosing and placement that don't match the patient's anatomy or goals. Treatment here is planned conservatively around how your face actually moves, and it's easier to add a little more at your two-week check than to undo too much.

    Does Botox hurt?

Most patients describe it as a quick pinch. Injections are performed with the NavaClick system, an ultra-fine needle designed for comfort, and the majority of treatments don't require numbing cream. Everyone's experience differs, so tell Mercedes if you're anxious about discomfort.

Can I get Botox at my first appointment?

Yes. New patients can generally receive Botox at their first appointment after their consultation and assessment if treatment is appropriate. There is never an obligation to treat simply because you scheduled a consultation.

I was so impressed with the entire experience. Mercedes explained everything in detail prior to my injections. She took the time to answer all my questions. It was obvious that she knew what she was talking about and that really helped to ease my anxious mind! Also knowing her ER nursing background, I felt like I was in great hands! The immediate results were tasteful and exactly what I was hoping for. I will definitely be calling Mercedes again!

Mercedes had a spot open in her schedule, she came same day to my house. She did an amazing job — it really was painless and she helped me feel comfortable because I am scared of needles. The results are looking great. You can also tell that she is super personable and knowledgeable. Great experience and will def be using her again.

I received Botox and lip filler from Mercedes. She is fantastic. I had never had either and was nervous. She was so patient with me and thoroughly explained everything and made sure I understood. I asked a lot of questions and I never felt like I was annoying her. The pain was minimal. She gave me her number and texted me numerous times to check in afterwards. The results are amazing. If you are hesitating just do it! You won't regret it!
