    An Unconventional Path to Medicine

    Dr. Erika Kelly didn't start with a dream of becoming a physician — her path followed various aspirations, including veterinary science, architecture, and civil engineering. At a pivotal point in her life, Dr. Kelly found herself surrounded by medical treatments, complex terminology, and traveling for advanced care of her grandmother. This sparked her commitment to bringing advanced medical care to underserved regions of Kentucky.

    After graduating Summa Cum Laude with Honors from EKU in 2012, Dr. Kelly continued to medical school at LMU-DCOM and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at LCRH in Somerset, KY.

    Today, Dr. Kelly owns and operates Skin X Aesthetics while continuing to work shifts in the ICU as an internist. She previously served as Medical Director for Kentucky and aesthetics educator with a large aesthetics company based out of Nashville, TN. Dr. Kelly rejuvenates her patients' spirits and empowers them to cherish their natural beauty and wellness.

    Mercedes and Dr. Kelly first met when Dr. Kelly was one of her trainers — back when Mercedes served as Director of Training for a large aesthetics company.
