Dermal Filler

Dermal Filler in Nashville & Mount Juliet

Structural, natural-looking lip and facial filler — placed by Mercedes Hester, RN. Results that read as rested and refreshed, not 'done'.

    What it is

Filler, done the way it's supposed to be.

Dermal filler is a hyaluronic acid gel — the same molecule your skin already makes — used to restore volume that's been lost, rebalance proportion, or soften a specific line. It isn't a facelift. Done well, it's invisible; nobody should be able to tell you had filler, only that you look like yourself, rested.

At Full Spectrum, filler is planned from the bone out. That means placing small, strategic amounts in the areas actually driving the change you want (cheek, chin, jaw, temple, lip) — instead of chasing lines with more product year after year.

    Who it's for

When filler is the right tool.

    • Lips that have thinned or lost definition — or lips you want subtly enhanced
    • Volume loss in the cheeks, temples, or under-eye that reads as tired
    • A softer jawline or chin projection you want to sharpen
    • Deep smile lines or marionette lines that don't respond to skincare
    • Anyone who's been told "you need more" elsewhere and wants a second, honest opinion

A note on chin & profile balance

Born without much of a chin? That's fixable — tastefully.

Some people are simply born with a recessed or under-projected chin — it's genetic, not something you did or didn't do. It can throw off the balance of the entire lower face and profile, and no amount of skincare or contouring will change bone structure.

Strategic filler placed along the chin can add the projection your anatomy was missing, bringing the profile into balance and often improving how the jawline and neck read at the same time. Done conservatively and in the right plane, it looks like you — just with the proportions you might've had if genetics had gone a slightly different direction. Nobody should be able to tell you had anything done.

    Who it's not for

    When Mercedes will say no.

If you've already had significant filler and adding more would tip the balance into looking overfilled, Mercedes will tell you — even if it means recommending dissolving before placing anything new. She won't stack product on top of product to keep a booking.

Filler is also paused during pregnancy or breastfeeding, active skin infection, or if you have a history of severe reactions to hyaluronic acid products.

    What to expect

    Your appointment, start to finish.

Every filler visit starts with a real conversation and a mirror — mapping what you actually want changed, and what's driving it. For lips, Mercedes uses a submucosal infiltration of lidocaine so the treatment itself is genuinely comfortable. For facial filler, the filler itself contains lidocaine, which keeps placement precise and the appointment comfortable.

Timing depends on the area and how much is being addressed. Lip filler appointments run about a full hour with numbing time included — Mercedes is detail-oriented and won't rush a lip. Facial filler runs anywhere from 20 minutes to about 1.5 hours depending on how many areas are being treated. Filler placement and safety are never rushed.

You'll see immediate results and will likely have some swelling for 24–72 hours (more with lips). Bruising is possible but minimized with cannula technique where appropriate. Final settled results come in between day 14 and day 21 — never before day 14. Mercedes's advice: ignore your face for a full two weeks.

    Investment

    Pricing, no surprises.

    • Lip Filler — $750 / syringe
    • Facial Filler (cheek, chin, jaw, temple, under-eye) — $800 / syringe

How much filler you actually need is individual — age, recent weight loss, and underlying facial structure all change the answer, and it's rarely as simple as "one syringe per area." Mercedes will walk you through what your face genuinely needs at consultation and price it transparently — never upsold in the chair.

    Aftercare

    Honest, evidence-based aftercare.

Mercedes doesn't hand out a long list of restrictions that aren't actually required. A few things genuinely help — mostly by reducing bruising and swelling — but nothing here is a hard rule:

    • Strenuous exercise, sauna, and hot yoga aren't forbidden — but they can increase bruising in the first 24–48 hours, so it's your call.
    • Sleeping slightly elevated the first two nights isn't required, but can reduce swelling and bruising if you're prone to either.
    • Arnica or bromelain can help minimize bruising if you bruise easily.
    • Avoid dental work for two weeks (pre- or post-filler).
    • Ignore your face for a full two weeks — final result lands between day 14 and day 21, never before then. The "day 3" version is not the answer.
